ECHO competition 2026

Leuven welcomes the first international Jehan Crinon Organ Competition, organized in collaboration with Leuven Orgelstad and ECHO.

The competition takes place on two exceptional instruments: the historic Goltfuss organ (1692) and the Contius organ (2022).

A total of 38 young organists from all over the world have applied, of whom twelve have been selected to compete in three rounds, presenting repertoire ranging from the 16th century to the present day. Technique, musical vision, and programmatic coherence are central to the competition.

The competition concludes with a public final and a Peace Mass, forming a musical and connecting closing moment.

The international jury consists of Bernard Foccroulle (chair), Juan-Maria Pedrero, Bine Bryndorf, Luc Ponet, and Aurore Baal.
